I have a passion for photographing people in a variety of environments and settings. My favorite use of the camera is capturing individuals as they go about their daily lives. I enjoy exploring new places within towns and cities, getting as close as possible to my subjects (without being awkward or intrusive), and seizing fleeting moments of life that occur spontaneously. I refer to this practice as “stealing a second.” I don’t merely view it as taking a photograph—anyone can press a button. Instead, I see it as creating an image, carefully composing and ‘making’ a photograph that my eye perceives as art as it presents itself in that instant.
