Polaroid 669s – My latest photographic series explores mixing the old with the new, with photographic explorations utilizing old and expired Polaroid 669 instant pack film, and shot with a 1971 Polaroid Color Pack II Land Camera. I first shoot the subject with the Land Camera, then immediately take a digital photo of the same subject or setting, replicating the composition and frame alignment as closely as possible. I then composite the analog and digital images together in Photoshop, editing to bring selective focus and accentuation to specific areas. Images are then printed on Epson Luster Archival Photo Inkjet Paper and brushed with a 2-part fiberglass resin to give the print an elevated relief effect.
